Some quality issues
The 150' hose reel has sturdy construction and I would have rated it 5 stars except for a couple of quality issues. First, despite a nice double walled shipping container, the inlet hose was not adequately restrained, resulting in chips of paint missing throughout the aluminum base castings. A simple cardboard restraint would have prevented the brass hose couple from flopping around in the box during shipping. Secondly, I wanted to change the base orientation from perpendicular to parallel, but one of the stainless steel cap screws had been cross-threaded during factory assembly. Looking more carefully at this problem, I noticed that the screw threads were not properly terminated at the ends of them; obviously these were not American made fasteners. But neither of these two anomalies were related to Paint Hose.
