Uses:
- The Economy Style Tri-Clamp 2-piece Ball Valves are great at controlling flow rates.
- Ball Valves are frequently mounted at the very end of CIP tubing.
- In Brewing applications they are often used on pump outlets and on vessel returns.
Advantages:
- The most economical option and made with a polished finish.
- Better than Butterfly Valves for flow rate control.
Cleaning:
- These Sanitary ball valves can be taken apart for cleaning and can be treated as a threaded ball valve and cleaned after each use.
Operation:
- Valve handles are inline when fully open and swing out from the center of valve body to close the flow.
- 90 degrees will completely shut off the flow, while anything in between will control the flow rate to various degrees.
- This 1/4 turn from the "ON" position to the "OFF" position allows for precise flow rate control.
Full Port:
- Being a full port design, they offer a full unobstructed flow that matches the line size.
Handles:
- Valve Handles are of a flat design for an easy opening/closing action, with a plastic handle cover to increase gripping power.
Materials:
- Manufactured from long lasting stainless steel 304. (316 available on special request)
- PTFE internal seal. (Other materials available upon special request)
